The Chinese knife massage is probably a treatment you’d only expect in hell, but in reality it’s said to increase blood flow, release the body’s stored energy and wash away harmful toxins. The treatment itself is pretty simple: all the therapist does is hold a couple of cleavers and strike the patient repeatedly with the sharp edge. No, don’t be horrified, there’s no blood involved. The trick is to bring down the cleaver with just the right amount of force, and then to not push or pull it once it touches skin. The up-and-down movement of the cleaver is said to release static energy, which leads to self- cure. “Chop, chop, chop, and the pain will go away,” is the motto that the knife therapists use to convince clients.

Knife massage (刀療, dāo liáo) is an ancient massage technique that was practiced over 2,000 years ago and has been preserved by Chinese Buddhist monks, who use it as a form of meditation and therapy. When Chinese monks brought Buddhism and knife massage to Japan over a 1,000 years ago, it became popular among samurai warriors who used long samurai swords to administer the massage.

The knife massage is given sitting on a chair or stool or lying face down on a massage bed. A towel is placed on the shoulders and back and lotion or tiger balm is rubbed on the neck and shoulders for relaxation. Next, the masseur takes two, heavy stainless steel butcher knives and gently pounds the back and shoulders. The masseur taps the body with the sharp edge of the knife along meridians of the body promoting a better flow of qi.

A few days ago, a person was recharging his mobile phone at home.

Just at that time a call came in and he answered it with the charging Instrument
still connected to the outlet.



After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cell phone unrestrained
and the young man was thrown to the floor with a heavy thud.
As you can see, the phone actually exploded.

His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious,
with a weak heart beat and burnt fingers.



He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cell phones are a very useful modern invention.



However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death.

Never use the cell phone while it is hooked to the electrical outlet!
If you are charging the cell phone and a call comes in,
unplug it from the charger and outlet.
